If you use Firefox as your primary web browser you have access to two fantastic Add-Ons (DownThemAll and AntiContainer) that, if used together, allows you to “automatically” download all links on a page, including whole Facebook’s albums; this, however, does not work with the new “High Resolution” pictures, only downloading the “small” version.

I then created an AntiContainer’s plugin (modifying the original AntiContainer’s plugin) that will automatically download the HD version! continue reading…

GrooveShark is a fantastic online music-streaming site, that offers a vast amount of audio tracks that can be chosen freely to create your own compilation.

Also, once you have created your own mix of favorite music, you can activate the “radio” option to let Grooveshark automagically select other tracks that you might like.

The web site can be used for free with some banners, but it won’t work on mobile devices, unless you use their app and have a “Grooveshark Anywhere” account, for the price of 9$/month.

It is not a very high price for unlimited music streaming, however for a limited time you can get a whole year of “Anywhere” account for just 20$!!! continue reading…

However this could prove problematic if you need to change a parameter in the URL of this bookmark and so I have created a script to help in this situations! continue reading…

Try to picture this: it’s late in the evening of a mid-December’s Saturday and you are locked alone in a cold server’s room, migrating a multi-purpose (file sharing, printers, backup…) server to a new machine, making sure that every setting is replicated correctly; user’s shares, quotas, alerts, printers… All well but, damn, the new server will have a different name from the old one because of new company standards! Monday morning 30 users will not be able to print! How to fix this? continue reading…
